Upon moving in to this 2,500 sf home, the clients instantly began tearing out the flat ceiling in the kitchen. Then a year later decided to go much deeper in terms of what the interior could be. The main level was fully demolished. New glu-lam beams were installed as a design feature, throughout. Walls were removed at the dining, kitchen and entry to allow an open feel to the floor plate. Sky lights and a new roof were also installed. A chef’s kitchen functional for cooking and entertaining was added. The master suite combined three existing rooms and provided a large bath, walk-in closet and sleeping area.
